West Virginia Wesleyan College Naming Opportunities

West Virginia Wesleyan College occupies a distinctive place in the higher education landscape of the state, region, and nation. Nestled in the beautiful foothills in West Virginia and steeped in tradition for nearly 125 years, Wesleyan challenges its students to:

  • think critically and creatively,
  • learn how to communicate effectively,
  • be responsible citizens, and
  • demonstrate their local and world
  • citizenship through service.

A beautiful 110-acre campus enables Wesleyan to deliver its long-standing tradition of academic excellence and value-centered leadership. To ensure that Wesleyan remains relevant in the 21st century and that we adequately address the needs of the next generation of students, now is the time to reinvigorate the 40-plus year old facilities, to continue to expand the campus, and to provide additional resources for faculty and students. On January 24, 2013, the Board of Trustees of West Virginia Wesleyan College revised the institution’s naming policies for academic schools and departments, student life programs, buildings, centers, classrooms, residence halls, athletic facilities, and scholarships. These naming opportunities provide alumni and friends with the opportunity to establish a perpetual legacy. We invite you to partner with us to ensure that Wesleyan can adapt, grow, and prepare for the future.

There is no minimum limit for gifts to already existing endowments, but the minimum amount for establishing an endowment fund is typically $20,000, which usually generates $1,000 annually, subject to annual determinations of draw amounts by the Board of Trustees.
